He is an author contributor to the best-selling books, “The Talent Management Handbook” and “The Compensation Handbook” (McGraw Hill) and has published hundreds of articles and white papers in academic journals, popular media, and industry specific publications worldwide, including Inc Magazine and The Economist.

Allan is a respected analyst, speaker, and guest lecturer on the topic of transformational human capital management for individuals, organizations, regions, and nations. He is widely considered to be one of the world’s leading thought leaders in human capital management. In 2009 he was recognized as among the “100 Most Influential People in HR and Talent Management” and in 2018 as among the world’s top twenty-five experts in employee reward and recognition.
