For the third year, Training magazine and Wilson Learning Worldwide have teamed up to conduct the Annual Leadership Survey focused on creating effective leaders and preparing the next generation of leaders.

The results of this survey indicate high-performing organizations do a number of things differently in terms of where they focus their efforts, the involvement of senior executives, cross-generational mentoring, and preparation of the next generation of leaders. Lorri Freifeld is the editor-in-chief of Training magazine, owned by Lakewood Media Group. She writes on a number of topics, including talent management, training technology, and leadership development. She spearheads two awards programs: the Training Top 125, and Emerging Training Leaders. A writer/editor for the last 27 years, she has held editing positions at a variety of publications, including License! Global, KPMG Consumer Markets Insider online news service, EyeWear magazine, and Chief Executive magazine. She holds a Master’s degree in journalism from New York University.
 

About Michael Leimbach, Ph.D.

Michael Leimbach, PhD, is Vice President of Global Research and Development for Wilson Learning Worldwide. With over 30 years in the field, Dr. Leimbach provides leadership for researching and designing Wilson Learning’s diagnostic, learning, and sales performance capabilities. He has managed major research studies in sales, leadership, and organizational effectiveness, and he developed Wilson Learning’s impact evaluation capability and return on investment models. Dr. Leimbach has served as a research consultant for a wide variety of global client organizations, was Editor-in-Chief for a major professional journal, and serves on the ISO technical committee on Quality Standards for Learning Service Providers. Dr. Leimbach has authored six books, published over 100 professional articles, and is a frequent speaker at national and global conferences.
